Bodoland University, Kokrajhar Admission into M.A./M.Sc./ MCA/MBA/PhD Programmes

Admission Process :

Entrance test is to be held for admission into all the departments for all the courses. The decision of the Admission Committee regarding admission is final and binding.

Application forms for Admission :

Prescribed Application forms for admission into the PG classes/Ph.D. Courses and Hostel are made available along with the prospectus at the cost of Rs. 250.00 (Two hundred fifty only) at the University office.

1. A candidate seeking admission to the 1st semester PG classes must apply on the prescribed form obtained from the office of the university on payment of an amount specified in the prospectus, within 29th June 2013. The date of submission of filled up forms and interview for selection will be notified in the university website, local dailies and the university notice board.

Entrance Tests :

Entrance Tests for all the PG courses will be conducted in all the subjects. An application fee of Rs. 250/- will have to be deposited in the respective department at the time of submission of Application form in the form of Bank Draft in favour of the Registrar, BU, payable at SBI, North Kokrajhar. The entrance test for admission in PG and Ph.D. programmes shall be conducted by the concerned department and dates will be notified in the university website. For Ph.D. programme, the applicant possessing JRF/SRF/in-service candidate of BU/sponsored candidate need not appear in the entrance test, but must appear in the interview to be conducted by the respective Departmental Research Committees (DRCs) of the departments. In-service Ph.D. candidates will have to submit “No Objection Certificate” from the head of the institution where he/she is working along with the filled in form. In respect of the Ph.D. regulations, as per the Clause 3b of Bodoland University, the DRC shall decide about the number of Ph.D. Scholars to be guided by a supervisor in accordance with present UGC regulations.

Subject-wise Dates of Admission will be notified in the university website/Notice Board.Admission of Waiting List Candidates will be held on the same date in the respective subject after completion of the admission of selected candidates.

Applications are invited for Admission into M.A./M.Sc./ MCA/MBA Programmes – i) Assamese, ii) Bodo, iii) English, iv) Economics, v) Political Science, vi) History, vii) Mathematical Sciences, viii) Computer Science & Technology ix) Biotechnology x) Business Administration offered by Bodoland University, Kokrajhar for the academic session: 2013-2014.

Applications are also invited for admission into Ph. D. programme (one semester course work) in Assamese, Biotechnology, Bodo, Computer Science and Technology, Economics, English, History, Mathematical Sciences and Political Science for the academic session, 2013-2014. The admission process comprises of a written test followed by an interview. The entrance test will be conducted by the concerned department.

The Prospectus-cum-Application form for desired courses can be obtained from the sales counter, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar on payment of Rs. 250/- only during office hours on all working days from 10.06.2013 to 25.06.2013. Request for supply of Admission form by Post must be accompanied by a self addressed stamped envelope (of 28x12 cm size) along with a Bank Draft of Rs. 300/- in favour of ‘The Registrar, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar’ payable at SBI North Kokrajhar Branch, (branch code-7379) Kokrajhar. The University authority, however, shall not be responsible for non-delivery / late delivery of forms sent by the post. Application Form can also be downloaded from the University website: www.bodolanduniversity.org.in and may be submitted along with Bank Draft of Rs. 300/-.

Last date for the receipt of completed forms by the office is 29.06.2013. Date of entrance Test shall be notified in the university website/notice board. Provisional selection list will be notified in the university website/departmental notice board. List of selected candidates will not be intimated individually, but will be published in the university website/notice board. Admission will be held on 29th, 30th and 31st July 2013. Classes will commence from first week of August. However, the exact date will be notified by the concerned department in the university website/departmental notice board.
